Most of the people being theist, this Indian subcontinent is filled with religious views. Muslims, Hindus are the majority. It is Hinduism is a colorful religion indeed, with lots of merry making during their 'Puja'. 'Dhakeswari Mandir' is the biggest of all mandirs in Bangladesh.
Rich in cultural activities like Puja, Rothjatra, Sonkranti, Tithi etc. Here in Sylhet, the Rothjatra festival has made a natural festive effect on people. A fail is held for at least one week. The fair mostly features furnitures, clothes, toys, show pieces, junk foods and yes magicians huts! The Rikabi Bazar point, beside Sylhet stadium is the place for this Rothjatra fair. The entire area becomes over crowded. People suffer traffic jam as the fair helds beside the broadway.
